Ali Strachan (she/her)
President, Executive Director, Cultural Programming, Mental Health First Aid Officer, LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Trained
Ali Strachan is a passionate arts advocate who believes communities are built on shared culture. As a creative copywriter, she has written marketing copy, implemented marketing strategies and built websites for more than 150 local, national and international artists, musicians, jewellers, choreographers and theatre companies.
As an arts practitioner, she works with artists and communities to co-design multi-arts workshops, bootcamps and festivals, to provide opportunities for collaboration, while fostering wellbeing and social cohesion.
Her approach is grounded in community, listening and working from the ground up. She builds relationships with diverse individuals, stakeholders and community groups, tertiary institutions, arts organisations, venues and local and state government to inform and help her deliver her creative work
Grant Strachan (he/him)
Vice President, Production and Operations Manager, Sound Engineer
With over a decade of hands-on experience as a sound and lighting technician, Grant combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of the creative arts sector.
Known for his empathetic leadership and attentive listening, Grant excels at supporting diverse teams and fostering inclusive environments where every voice is valued. His unique blend of analytical precision and people-centred management ensures Assorted Grains’ operations run smoothly while nurturing a culture of collaboration, respect, and creativity
Tink (Alicia Taylor) (they/them)
Treasurer, Producer, First Aid Officer
Tink is one of the country’s leading fusion burlesque performers – effortlessly weaving dangerous elements such as fire and sideshow into the art of the tease.
Co-Producer of Club Queer & delightfully Scarlet, Headmistressmaster of The Vaudeville Consortium – this is one talented fire fairy! Outside of the performance arts, Tink works across a multitude of projects including:
Community Housing, Treasurer for Circus Being Inc, Trip Co-ordinator & Program Manager for Circus for Humanity under the Humanitarian Clowns.
Louise Poole (she/her)
Marketing Director, LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Trained
Louise Poole is a queer, award-winning audio producer, presenter, and content creator with over 25 years of experience in radio, podcasting, and digital storytelling. She is deeply committed to amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly within LGBTQIA+ communities, and has built a career on crafting engaging, meaningful, and impactful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
As a producer and host, Louise leads the development and presentation of groundbreaking audio projects. She is the producer and presenter of Loud & Proud Stories, a podcast and radio series sharing contemporary LGBTQIA+ stories from across Southeast Queensland. The series features studio-style interviews, live storytelling at LGBTQIA+ events, and weekly radio broadcasts on 4ZZZ, ensuring that authentic queer voices are heard and amplified.
Her expertise spans audio production, presenting, interviewing, marketing, content strategy, and community storytelling, making her a leading voice in independent queer media.
Naomi Crawford (she/they)
Secretary, Community Engagement, Child Safety Officer
Naomi is a visual artist, exhibiting nationally and internationally under the pseudonym OmiLee, and an arts worker who champions accessibility, collaboration, and inclusion. She is an active contributor to community arts and has played key roles in developing and supporting projects that connect artists from diverse backgrounds, such as Artisability, Studio 56 Miami Marketta, and Loud & Proud Logan.
Alongside her artistic practice, Naomi brings strong organisational and communication skills to the team, with a career profile in business development integrating audience growth, corporate engagement, valued partnerships, and program coordination.
Combining creative insight with strategic and administrative expertise, her work strengthens organisational capacity to deliver impactful, inclusive programming and to foster meaningful connections across the arts and broader community sectors.
